The Miraculous Medal Necklace, also known as the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, is inspired by the instructions that the Virgin Mary is said to have given to Saint Catherine Labouré, a nun of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, during a vision that occurred in 1830 in Paris, on the Rue du Bac.
